After this course you can learn to develop your own apps with Swift during the 3-day iOS App Development course, or directly enrol for the 5-day bundle iOS App Programmer (2 days Swift and 3 days App Development).
During this 2-day course, you will learn the Swift language, a prerequisite for developing iOS apps. You will learn the basics of the language, including object oriented programming, but also be introduced to more powerful features like generics and functional programming. The teaching style is very hands-on, with practical programming exercises used to reinforce the study material.
You will also be introduced to the basics of Objective-C, which is the language used in most of the code libraries (frameworks) in iOS. The Foundation framework is particularly important, as it is a requirement in all iOS applications; you will spend quite some time working with this framework, handling basic types like numbers, strings, collections, and files.
Swift for App Development is a prerequisite training for the follow-up course iOS App Development, in which you will learn more about writing code to add a user interface to your apps.
