This course will cover the details of deployment like packaging, imaging, preparing a master and managing. OS X Deployment will dovetail together with the advanced iOS Deployment Course (iOS 201).
Image Creation using Disk Utility and Apple Software Restore (ASR)
Mac OS X file deployment considerations; using archive files for deployment; using disk images for deployment; using Disk Utility and asr in the command line to restore whole partitions
Package Creation using PackageMaker
Understanding Mac OS X installation technology; creating installation packages; using installation package actions, creating snapshot packages; deploying and maintaining installation packages
Getting to know Apple Remote Desktop (ARD)
Introduction to ARD 3 features; how to control, observe and push screens; configuring multiple systems using Unix commands (basic)
Deploying Packages and other files using ARD
Using ARD 3 to deploy items in real time; utilising Task Server; copying/receiving files; configuring multiple systems using Unix commands (advanced)
Configuring NetBoot/NetInstall/NetRestore
Understanding System Image deployment, Understanding the NetBoot service, configuring the NetBoot service, configuring clients to boot with a network disk image, monitoring and troubleshooting the NetBoot service, deploying system images with NetRestore, configuring ASR network multicast, deploying systems with NetInstall, and using System Image Utility workflow actions
Deploying and creating images and workflows using DeployStudio
Introduction to DeployStudio setup, configuration & workflow management; how to create images using DeployStudio Runtime; deploying and adjusting workflows using DeployStudio
Maintaining images using StarDeploy

Setup and configuration of Profile Manager
